Tons of bullet tuna are coming to Susaki now!

Hello.

How have you been?

Japan is still under severe heat every day and I finally got knocked out by brutal heat the other day.

I took a half day off and slept all day long. Thanks to that, I could come back to work next day.

Today, I have an event news. Have you ever heard of " Shinko Festival " in Susaki ? Shinko is young bullet tuna in Tosa dialect. Freshness of Bullet tuna is gone very quickly and Shinko was used to be eaten by only fishermen. Recent cooling technology realized to bring fresh Shinko to people not even fishermen.

In festival, Shinko is cooked as sashimi and served with citrus called Busyukan. The way to eat it is; squeeze busyukan on soy sauce, dip shinko meat in it, and eat it.  I haven't eaten shinko yet but people who ate shinko all said "Shinko is the best sashimi of all!! ". So, I am very looking forward to the festival.

Festival is in September 1st and 2nd, Saturday and Sunday, from 9am in Susaki.

If you are interested in, please come eat Shinko (bullet tuna) !

Oh? What is the bullet tuna?

There you go, these are bullet tuna.

Guess who caught this many?

Yes, our Captain Okkamu did it!

More than this result, what surprised me most was the time he returned to a port.

When he caught this many, he came back to a port at 7AM!!!

On that day, he went fishing early morning and caugt this many instantly and came back at 7 o'clock morning!  Of course, he didn't fish all night long from the day before. This is the result of few hours of fishing.
