Greeting from Susaki, Kochi to all the anglers in the world!
It is cold every day in Northern Hemisphere. In general, fish is not really active during winter.
I believed that ocean is not an exception until I came over to Susaki.
Now I guess I was wrong. Ocean in Susaki is, I gotta say, FANTASTIC.
Before I report what Captain Okkamu got, I would like to report what he got on December 28th, 2019.

Laterally Banded Grouper, 15kg!!! (33lb)
This grouper is a super expensive one ! What a lucky angler!
This fish was caught at 90m (297ft) deep rocky area.
Captain Okkamu might be able to forget this memory.
I came back to same place to see the same dream again.
So, let's take a look at what he got on Feburary 3rd.
Giant jawfish ! Non-venomous puffer fish, marbled rockfish, yellowtail and so on and on.
They are overflowing from the box.
I guess they had a feast at that night.
This is how Captain Okkamu knows well about the sea of Susaki.
As we have been informing since last year, Captain Okkamu is constantly catching fishes.
If you come to Japan first time ever and would like to try fishing without being lonely with empty cold box, we highly recommend him to go fishing with.

Captain Okkamu above is mainly fishing with raw or live bait but we, Susaki Tourism Fishing Center, provide lure fishing service as well.
Fishing style is called "Tairaba" which is effective for Red Snappers and other kinds of snappers. Here in Susaki, winter is the best season for big snappers.
We highly recommend Tairaba style fishing service.

As well as lure fishing service, we also provide the service that carries anglers to offshore inlets for Smallscale Blackfish and Striped Beakfish.
Both fishes become fatter and fatter in winter and more tastier.
