Hello, guys!
I am a charge of Susaki Tourism Fishing Center.
Before, I report what was going on in Susaki, I report about my result of weekend fishing.
I went to Sameura Dam where supplies water to four prefectures, Kochi, Tokushima, Ehime, and Kagawa.
Before I go, I thought that water quality there should be bad because that is a dam.
However, as soon as I reached at the dam, I was so surprised about how clean the water is!!
Water is clean enough for swimming and transparency is really high.
As soon as I casted my lures, I hit 3 Largemouth Bass and one was even 45cm (18in )big which is my new record. It has been a while to catch largemouth bass. It brought me memories when I was in the U.S. for my academic. Hmm.... goodoldays.
Anyway, back to rail.
Today, as title said, I am going to report the result of June 6th.
On current day, weather was completely opposite to it on June 5th.
June 6th was unbelievably calm day with no wind and wave.
Water surface was totally flat.
Captain Okkamu took his anglers to one of his 8 secret spots.
From first drop of rig, anglers started catching big horse mackerel (38cm~50cm, 15~20in) .
After short while of mackerel rush, fish is gone and they had to change spot.
One after another, they changed spots as they chased groups of fish.
When a boat was moving to different spot, anglers could feel the winds and made them cool down.
But when they reached new spot, boat stopped, and wind stopped as well. Heat came back to anglers.
After they repeated same things several times, they got quite a few result with smiles on all faces.
So, they went back to a port at 2pm.
This is from our captain Okkamu.
As we have been informing since last year, Captain Okkamu is constantly catching fishes. If you come to Japan first time ever and would like to try fishing without being lonely with empty cold box, we highly recommend him to go fishing with.
