Hello, world anglers! Greeting from Susaki!
Though there is no one reading this website, I keep writing English version of fishing report.
Anyway, let's get it started!
Today's article was provided by a reader of this website.
He went out to 100m depth area from Susaki.
Tackle he used was a Tai jig, a rig specialized to catch red snapper.
According to him, tai jig works for not just only snappers, but groupers, sharks, and even squids.
Tai jig is usually used as plain rig, I meant, there is no raw bait on hooks.
But, he said that once I used raw bait on hooks, I can't go back to without using raw bait.
With raw bait, bites are much more compared to without raw bait.
He usually brings shrimps but this time, he brought squids.
Big bait, big fish!
and, with this big bait, what he caught was,
this small yellowback seabream....
However, when he changed a bait from squid to shrimp, he caught this super expensive fish.
Tile fish! There are three kinds of tilefish. Red tile fish, yellow tile fish and this one, white tile fish, most expensive tile fish among all!!
1kg of this fish is worth for 100~200USD in the market.
Ratio that anglers can catch this fish is 1 out of 100~150 red tile fish.
What a lucky guy. ... I wonder how he ate this fish.
