How are you doing, anglers in the world?
Japan is relatively getting cooler than before and became easier to go out for fishing.
As the title shows, currently, sea of Susaki is filled up with Frigate and Bullet Tunas right now!
See below about how many we got!
In Japanese, Bullet tuna is called "Maru Souda Gatsuo" and Frigate Tuna is called " Hira Souda Gatsuo" in general, and both are called "Shinko" in Tosa dialect.
Since Shinko is so fast to lose its freshness, Shinko must go into ice right away.
Other than Shinko, horse mackerel and crimson seabream were caught at the same time. Some of horse mackerel are even over 40cm (16in) !
Compared to previous years, frigate tuna is relatively more than bullet tuna this year.
Have you ever eaten super fresh sashimi (raw fish) of these Shinko?
It is really unique texture like sticking to inside of mouth.
Even in either Japan or Kochi City, this can't be tasted due to its freshness.
Kochi City or othe areas in Japan are too far to eat super fresh Shinko. So, super fresh shinko can be eaten in only around Susaki.
if you are intersted in eating super fresh shinko, please visit here (see "Boat Fishing・Raw Bait Style").
